There's a longer post-ConQuest entry coming, probably tomorrow. Today was infusion day for me, so I'm barely alive right now. However, there's something I think the "Llogyr" players would appreciate:

Actually, I made the comment (but Alex didn't hear me, over the noise) at the beginning of the game. It was more the dynamic between the two characters than a physical resemblance that had me thinking of it.

Well, okay, maybe Alex can evoke a scowly Ray Steveson on some level. ;)

I sorta saw the point of them not - once they get into Augustus' reign, they start treading ground already trod in "I, Claudius" - and sure, they probably could have come up with some very different interpretations, but comparisons would have been inevitable. And, correct me if I'm wrong, but things were relatively peaceful for the first half of his reign or so, right? That doesn't make for interesting telly.

More to the point, I heard that the budget had gone into the stratosphere, even by HBO's standards...
